What responsibilities will you be handling ?
As a Ruby on Rails (ROR) Developer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code to deliver high-quality applications.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Developing RESTful APIs and integrating with various databases (relational or NoSQL).
- Utilizing version control tools like Git to manage code repositories efficiently.
- Writing and executing unit tests using Rspec to ensure code quality and application stability.
- Employing common libraries like Sidekiq for seamless application performance.
- Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and implementing effective solutions to enhance application performance and user experience.
- Adhering to best practices in Ruby on Rails development to maintain code integrity and scalability.
Required qualifications/ skills
- Hands-on experience working with Ruby on Rails.
- Knowledge of any relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
- Familiarity with building RESTful APIs.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, particularly Git.
- Good experience with Unit Testing processes and tools, specifically Rspec.
- Experience with common libraries such as Sidekiq.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
- Adherence to best practices in Ruby/Rails.
- Ability to identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to the problems.
Preferred qualifications/ skills
- Experience monitoring and improving application performance will be a plus.
- Knowledge of front-end interfaces using HTML and CSS would be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with deployments using AWS, Digital Ocean, or Heroku will be a plus.
- Ability to work from home and collaborate effectively with remote teams.
